Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy looks at the body as a whole, not just where the symptoms present themselves. With proper evaluation we have a better understanding of how to treat and correct the cause of the pain pattern. Resetting your pain patterns reduce inflammation in the joints, strengthen weak muscles, stretching tight muscles, all while retraining the neurological patterns.
MAT therapy brings together the most advanced therapeutic strategies to relieve and ultimately correct the patterns that lead to pain.
It looks for missing fascia layers such as joint capsules, intervertebral discs and pain generators. This allows us to retrain those neuro patterns to go back to where they belong.

Deep Tissue massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Recommended for muscle fatigue or spasm resulting from injury, athletic overuse or stubborn, chronic conditions. The purpose is to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slower strokes and deeper hand or finger pressure on the contracted or restricted areas of muscle, tendon and fascia. The term “Deep Tissue” is a general name for a variety of techniques that are often blended together during your massage. Deep Tissue techniques include massage modalities such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, trigger point massage and other massage techniques. These techniques also often include stretching, and often your therapist will suggest deep breathing to help your muscles release and to keep any discomfort to a minimum. The therapist will work to your tolerance to ensure the deep, therapeutic work you are looking for. Not recommended for first-time massage.

Trigger points can be caused by muscles that become dysfunctional and stay in a constant contraction without a signal from the nervous system, resulting in muscle weakness and pain referral. Over 73% of the time, pain referral is not located where it originates. Through trigger point analysis and palpation, the pain source is located and treated by static compression. Trigger points aren’t exclusively located in muscles: they are also found in skin and ligaments. Below are few common examples of problems addressed by deep tissue massage and who would benefit. PROBLEMS ADDRESSED: Cervical pain, Back Pain; sciatica, Fibromyalgia, Scoliosis and kyphosis, Neurological interference, Restriction of motion, Chronic pain, Headaches, Postural distortions.

Cupping is a health treatment modality in which a therapist places glass or silicone cups on the body, then creates a vacuum in the cups to suction the skin. The cups are left in place for a few minutes so the suction can draw the tissue up into the cup and cause the blood vessels to expand. This is why the skin turns red and remains discolored for a short time after the cup has been removed.
The greatest benefit of cupping is the increase in circulation. Increased blood flow has many positive effects on the body, such as
Cupping has also been known to clear congestion, as the suction of the cups breaks up the fluid in the lungs and brings oxygen - rich blood to the respiratory system
Cupping brings blood to the skin’s surface which may sometimes cause temporary marks on the skin. The bruises from cupping can last for a few days up to two weeks.
